How to successfully make a lasting change?

Updated: Jul 28

Your intention plays an important role in determining the success of the outcome. A large group of people protesting a war, for example, rarely brings about the desired result of that protest. The reason is that in most cases the protesters are merely expressing their opinion, their desire to avoid war. They lack enough focus to make a difference even if they number in the millions. Gradually the number of protesters diminish and eventually, they go back to their normal life at the end of day.

To make a difference, we need to have intense determination, clarity, focus and understanding. This is why it is said, be the change you want to see in the world. Be very clear about what it is you want and then stick to it. Do not be concerned about the outcome, pay attention to what you are doing and why you are doing it. Be diligent and determined. And at the same time do not hurt and harm yourself and do not hurt and harm others.

There has to be force behind a resolution. How much force? It is dependent on the size of the obstacle you are trying to overcome. The amount of force you apply must be greater than the inertia holding the object in place. This is the Law of Physics. A greater force must be applied to a standing object in order to move it. The larger the object, the greater the force to make it move must be.
